Buy naked beans. Put the treatment on at the planter.
WillRock Ag Soybean Advanced Planter Box Treatment puts three registered actives and a micronutrient-loaded seed fluency base into one pail — Sudden Death Syndrome prevention, nematode suppression and broad soilborne disease protection, applied in the box the morning you plant. About $17.00 an acre, and one pail covers roughly 40 acres of soybeans.
The actives ride in sealed Bio-Capsules built into the pail lid. You break them open at the planter, right before the product goes on seed. That is the whole point of the system — nothing sits pre-blended losing potency in a warehouse, and you are not paying a seed treater to do what your planter can do.
What’s working for you
BorneX is an EPA-registered biofungicide built on natamycin. It targets Fusarium — the causal agent of Sudden Death Syndrome — and Rhizoctonia, and it does it without the phytotoxic seedling halo effect that comes with some seed-applied chemistry. Cleaner stands, plus improved plant vigor.
GuardC is 100% fungal chitosan, exempt under FIFRA 25(b), with three modes of action against soilborne disease and free-living nematodes. Pharmaceutical-grade fungal chitosan is more consistent batch to batch than crustacean-derived chitosan and is non-allergenic. It also carries a strong positive charge, which pulls nutrients in toward the root for uptake.
Prephyte ST is a broad-spectrum EPA-registered fungicide for prevention, control or suppression of many soilborne diseases, plus free-living nematodes and abiotic stresses.
Underneath all three, the base pail is an 80/20 talc and graphite seed fluency blend carrying iron, manganese and 0.38 lbs of IonLock Zinc. The zinc improves singulation and helps adhere the actives to the seed coat, while the iron and manganese deliver early-season nutrition into cool, wet soils that will not release their own.
Why growers choose it
- Sudden Death Syndrome prevention — BorneX targets the Fusarium that causes it, with no seedling halo effect
- Three registered actives in one pail — no separate products to stock or mix
- Free-living nematode suppression — GuardC and Prephyte ST both work on nematodes
- Replaces the seed treater — buy naked beans and apply at the planter
- Live actives at the point of use — Bio-Capsules stay sealed until you break them in the box
- Early nutrition built in — 1.58% water soluble zinc plus iron and manganese
- Better singulation — IonLock Zinc improves seed flow and holds the actives on the seed coat
- One pass at the planter — no tank mixing, no additional trips
Coverage
Sold by the pail, two pails to a case. One pail treats 40 units of soybeans at 140,000 seeds per unit — roughly 40 acres at a 140,000 population, or about $17.00 per acre. A case treats 80 units.
How to apply
- Do not activate the Bio-Capsules until you are ready to use the product.
- Remove the safety clips from the Bio-Capsules.
- Push down on the buttons atop the pail to release the actives into the base.
- Seal the pail.
- Shake aggressively to blend.
Shake aggressively before every application, not just the first one. The actives will settle. A pail that is not re-shaken between fills will not deliver an even rate across the field, and the last acres get shorted.
Store cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Do not hold above 77°F for extended periods, and do not freeze.
