Pod count is set early. Pod fill is what you get paid on.
WillRock Ag NKB-S Foliar rides with your fungicide pass and delivers 14% soluble potash, 4.48% sulfur and 1.20% boron at the reproductive stages, backed by proline and trimethylglycine plus dextrose and a leonardite fulvic fraction. About $4.50 an acre.
Potassium is the nutrient that moves sugar into the pod. Soybeans pull it hard from R1 forward, and by the time a shortage shows up in the leaf the seeds are already lighter.
What’s working for you
Potassium at 14% soluble potash drives the movement of sugars, nutrients and water through the plant. This is the lever on pod set, pod retention and seed fill — the reason this product goes on at R1 rather than earlier.
Sulfur at 4.48% supports protein synthesis and works directly on the oil and protein that determine soybean quality. Boron at 1.20% is tied to flowering and pod set, and molybdenum at 0.25% is required by the nodule for nitrogen fixation.
Proline and trimethylglycine carry the stress protection into the weeks when a heat or drought event costs the most bushels. Plants primed ahead of the event hold pod count and fill capacity that unprimed plants shed.
Dextrose and fulvic fraction at 1.00% each provide a readily available energy source and improve nutrient mobility and function once inside the plant.
Why growers choose it
- Built for reproductive stages — potassium, sulfur and boron timed to pod set and fill
- 14% soluble potash — the nutrient that moves sugar into the pod
- Rides with the fungicide pass — no additional trip across the field
- Feeds the nodule — molybdenum for nitrogen fixation late in the season
- Improves nitrogen use efficiency — gets more out of what the plant fixes and what you applied
- Stress protection at the worst possible time — proline and trimethylglycine through heat and drought at R1–R5
- Bio-ready surfactant system — tank mixes safely with live biological microbes
Coverage
Sold in 2 × 2.5 gallon jugs (36 cases per pallet) or 250-gallon totes. At 1 pint per acre, one case covers 40 acres at about $4.50 per acre in the WillRock soybean programs.
How to apply
Apply as a foliar at 1 pint per acre per application. In soybeans the window runs R1 through R5; the WillRock soybean programs place it with the fungicide pass. More frequent applications at 1 pint per acre may be needed to correct a deficiency once it appears.
Fill the mix tank with half the required water volume and begin agitation. Add products in this order, mixing thoroughly after each addition: adjuvants, pesticides, then fertilizers. Fill with the remaining water and continue agitating until fully mixed.
