Most planter box products do one job. This one does four.
WillRock Corn Pro CRW puts three EPA-registered biologicals and a micronutrient-loaded seed fluency base into a single pail, so you make one pass at the planter and cover insects, disease, early nutrition and seed flow at the same time. About $24 an acre, and one pail covers roughly 125 acres of corn.
The biologicals ride in sealed Bio-Capsules built into the pail lid. You break them open at the planter, right before the product goes on seed. That matters more than it sounds — live microbes lose count sitting on a shelf pre-blended. Releasing them at the point of use means what’s on the label is what goes in the box.
What’s working for you
GuardX is an EPA-registered bioinsecticide that colonizes the root and stays with the plant all season. It activates the plant’s immune system to withstand abiotic stress and repels insects, with coverage against corn rootworm, fall armyworm, wireworm and root knot nematode.
PowerGuard is an EPA-registered biofungicide that primes the plant’s natural defenses to respond quickly when facing pressure. It activates Induced Systemic Resistance, which lets the plant mount faster, stronger responses to soilborne and foliar disease from root to leaf.
Prephyte ST is a broad-spectrum EPA-registered fungicide for prevention, control or suppression of many soilborne diseases, plus free-living nematodes and abiotic stresses.
Underneath all three, the base pail is an 80/20 talc and graphite seed fluency blend carrying iron, manganese and 1.35 lbs of IonLock Zinc. The zinc does double duty — it improves singulation and helps adhere the microbes to the seed coat, while delivering early emergence nutrition when the plant needs it most and the soil is least willing to give it up.
Why growers choose it
- Three EPA-registered biologicals in one pail — no separate products to stock or mix
- Season-long root colonization — GuardX establishes at the root zone at planting and stays with the plant
- Insect coverage — corn rootworm, fall armyworm, wireworm and root knot nematode
- Disease protection root to leaf — Induced Systemic Resistance against soilborne and foliar pressure
- Live microbe count at the point of use — Bio-Capsules stay sealed until you break them at the planter
- Early nutrition built in — 4.00% water soluble zinc plus iron and manganese
- Better singulation — IonLock Zinc improves seed flow and holds microbes on the seed coat
- One pass at the planter — no tank mixing, no additional trips
Coverage
Sold by the pail. One pail treats 50 units of corn at 80,000 seeds per unit — roughly 125 acres at a 32,000 population, or about $24 per acre.
How to apply
- Remove the safety clips from the pail lid.
- Push the buttons to release the biologicals into the pail.
- Seal the pail.
- Shake aggressively to blend.
- Apply one scoop per 80,000-seed unit (single-row planters).
Shake aggressively before every application, not just the first one. The biologicals will settle. A pail that is not re-shaken between fills will not deliver an even rate across the field, and the last acres get shorted.
