Grain fill is where the yield is won or lost, and it is the hungriest the plant will ever be.

WillRock Ag NKB-S Foliar is the reproductive-stage partner to Complete Foliar. It carries 14% soluble potash, 4.48% sulfur and 1.20% boron into the plant right when kernel set and fill are drawing hardest, backed by the same two biostimulant metabolites — proline and trimethylglycine — plus dextrose and a leonardite fulvic fraction. About $4.50 an acre at the R1 pass.

Potassium is the nutrient that moves sugar. If the plant runs short during grain fill, it is not a deficiency you can see in time to fix — the kernels are already lighter.

What’s working for you

Potassium at 14% soluble potash drives the movement of sugars, nutrients and water through the plant. This is the single biggest lever on kernel retention and grain fill, and the reason this product goes on at R1 rather than earlier.

Sulfur at 4.48% and boron at 1.20% support protein synthesis and reproductive development. Boron is directly tied to pollination success and kernel set.

Proline and trimethylglycine carry over from the vegetative pass — the plant is primed against heat, drought and rapid-growth stress during the weeks when a stress event costs the most bushels.

Dextrose and fulvic fraction at 1.00% each provide a readily available energy source and improve nutrient mobility and function once inside the plant.

How to apply

Apply as a foliar at 1 pint per acre per application. In corn, the window runs from VT through grain fill; the WillRock Corn Full Send program places it at R1. More frequent applications at 1 pint per acre may be needed to correct a deficiency once it appears.

Fill the mix tank with half the required water volume and begin agitation. Add products in this order, mixing thoroughly after each addition: adjuvants, pesticides, then fertilizers. Fill with the remaining water and continue agitating until fully mixed.
