Per-acre cost based on the low end of the labeled corn and soybean rate range from a 2 × 2.5 gallon case. At 5.6 fl oz per acre, one case covers about 114 acres, or roughly $8.44 per acre.
Most combination fungicides get there by cutting both rates. This one doesn’t.
PerigrineFX pairs a strobilurin and a triazole at full rates in a single jug — 17.76% fluoxastrobin and 17.76% tetraconazole, 1.67 pounds of each per gallon. That works out to 104% of the equivalent active ingredient loading of the solo strobilurin product and 110% of the solo triazole. You are not trading rate for convenience.
Two chemistries, two jobs. The strobilurin is preventative and residual. The triazole is curative and moves fast. Together they cover the disease you can see and the disease that is about to show up.
What’s working for you
Fluoxastrobin is a fast-acting, highly systemic strobilurin. It provides residual activity and root-to-tip protection, keeping new growth covered as the plant builds it.
Tetraconazole is a highly systemic triazole with rapid uptake and strong plant mobility. It is the curative half of the package — the one that goes to work on an infection already underway.
The combination also carries activity against white mold in soybeans, which is the disease most likely to take the top end off a bean field in a wet year.
Why growers choose it
- Two full-rate modes of action — no cut-rate premix math, and a real resistance management story
- Curative and preventative — handles established infection and protects what has not been hit yet
- Root-to-tip protection — systemic movement keeps new growth covered
- Residual activity — the strobilurin holds the field after the pass is made
- White mold activity in soybeans — coverage on the disease that costs the most in a wet season
- Rainfast in 2 hours — narrow application windows are less of a gamble
- Fits the whole rotation — corn, soybeans, dry peas, dry beans, canola, barley and wheat
- Tote available — 264-gallon tote for high-acre operations
Coverage
Sold in 2 × 2.5 gallon jugs (5 gallons, or 640 fluid ounces per case) or a 264-gallon tote. In corn and soybeans the labeled rate is 4.4 to 6.8 fl oz per acre. At the low end, one case covers roughly 143 acres at about $6.75 per acre. At 5.6 fl oz per acre, one case covers about 114 acres, or roughly $8.44 per acre.
How to apply
Use rates by crop:
| Corn | 4.4–6.8 fl oz per acre |
| Soybeans | 4.4–6.8 fl oz per acre |
| Dry peas and dry beans | 5.5–7.7 fl oz per acre |
| Canola | 5.0–7.7 fl oz per acre |
| Barley and wheat | 2.5–5.0 fl oz per acre |
Mixing: Add half the required amount of water to the mix tank. Start the agitator before adding any tank mix partners. Add partners in this order: products in water soluble packaging, wettable powders, wettable granules, dry flowables, liquid flowables, liquids, then emulsifiable concentrates.
Prepare no more spray mixture than is needed for the immediate operation. To confirm physical compatibility with other products, run a jar test before use.
Rainfast 2 hours after application.
